The Library of Congress needs to accept electric books because electric books are the future of publishing. Library of Congress needs to publish for the future, so it may exist.

Word Prostitute® has published The Detective Store with wordprostitute.com using HTML and with amazon.com using the Kindle format. A format that was used after Word Prostitute® took its format standards and used the format standards of Amazon Kindle to frame the text files of The Detective Store.

The book publishing process of Amazon shows that Amazon has potential to be a book seller that sells books for it is easy to sell books with Amazon. First you need to create an account. Then after you have an account you have to create a product, a good, a book. Then once the book is created then you need to publish the book to Amazon and wait.

The publishing to Amazon has three steps. Enter Product Details, Upload & Preview Book, Enter Price. Enter Product Details is book information. If you have ever read an entire book published in the United States of America then you should be aware of ISBN Numbers and writer and editor and subject and therefor able to Enter Product Details. Upload & Preview Book step is where you upload and view on an HTML template with a web application that is supposed to look like the Kindle. The Kindle recommends HTML, but you can use other document types. Word Prostitute® tried to publish the PDF version of Lacivious with the Kindle publishing process and the result viewed through the test application for the Kindle returned something bad, so use HTML. If you know basic HTML then you should be able to publish okay books and learn to publish good books with their printing service. The process was complete before it began, but knowing HTML helped and having already having written in text files all the words and space of The Detective Store Word Prostitute® was able to format and publish with ease. After 96 hours the book was published. Around hour 24 they had the template with the cover. Around hour 48 they had the synopsis.

Word Prostitute® owns no kindle, so the final product has yet to be viewed. Regardless, Word Prostitute® believes the HTML version it published is better than the Kindle version.

Amazon feels to care about the words, but like all technology it needs to be refined.

Word Prostitute® is a little upset at the fact the publisher only gets 35 percent of the of the profit from any sale. Thirty-five percent is low. Word Prostitute® is hopeful as more people enter the electric book hardware selling market that Amazon will increase the amount of money it gives the publisher after Amazon sells the publisher’s book.

The Kindle does have the most potential because of the way Amazon has set how to sell and buy electric books. Sony’s ebook site so far has not sent an email reading that they at least received Word Prostitute®’s request to publish The Detective Store upon their site to sell words to users of their electric book hardware.

Word Prostitute® rejoices in the fact that paper print continues its decline as electric print continues to ascend to the future.

Word Prostitute® rejoice because after Lacivious print of paper Word Prostitute® had a a revelation that paper was dead. It was dead after seeing and feeling the power of electric print.

Proof of paper’s decline is reading of the news print like the Oregonian moving more toward electric print, and of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Co. not acquiring manuscripts, and of pensions frozen at Random House Inc. as they realize that paper is not only figuratively dead, but it is also literally dead because everyone wants to read the Western Wide Web.

Do we need an LCCN any more? Do we need a Library of Congress? Should this be a private institute?

Word Prostitute® did arrange and submit for an LCCN number for Lacivious. Word Prostitute® received that number, and Word Prostitute® submitted the number with copy of Lacivious as requested by the LCCN, but it appears not to be registered.

Word Prostitute® will be applying number to The Detective Store, so Word Prostitute® will be processing an LCCN number to again define to it if the LCCN is a number needed.

ICANN’t .book

Please write ICANN and inspire them to pledge to never create or help create the .book Top Level Domain name. Please help them understand that no one entity or entities should ever be able to define what a book is or is not for it should be everyone who defines or does not define a book.

Git Is Cool

Word Prostitute® is moving source from a centralized source control system to a decentralized source location will like be using the tool Git for Git is the new hot product, created by the ego manic Linus Torvalds and other Linux developers and Git is free. These three reasons are enough for Word Prostitute® to test the tool to be the first used to decentralize Word Prostitute® source.

Word Prostitute® is becoming more worried over more events of Godaddy and Network Solutions choosing not to honor their agreement of hosting a domain name because they believe they have the right to censor the world.

Word Prostitute® has found no logical reason by what right they had to choose not to publish the words of the domain unless they used a very broad and vague interpretation of their DNS agreement. And even if a new license is forged a new license shouldn’t allow companies that rent and serve domain names the right to choose what they can censor. Does ICANN have any power to prevent a domain name to be controlled and hidden by these domain name publishing companies?

The censorship of domain names concerns Word Prostitute® for Word Prostitute® has always feared this form of censorship would exist and now it does.

While this currently does not equal the magnitude of how much the paper publishing industry has censored the written word since its existence, it is a disconcerting act. It is the beginning of the new censorship.

Software Patents Are Stupid!

And people who believe in software patents are stupid.

Software patents are stupid. They are stupid because all software patents steal already standard and documented human processes. The act of writing these processes down does not make these process unique or a creation of art. These processes are not unique. They are not art. They are not something an expert is needed to create. Rather it requires someone who can write process and observe, which is almost everyone. There are hundreds of millions of people that do this and have done this.

Software patents are stupid. All the neat inventions have been creation by fiction writers years ago. All the human processes have been documented in instructions during the life time of humans.

People and companies who believe software patents are stupid. They are stupid because they believe in a lie. They are stupid because they prevent true invention to be created while we continue to journal and note and control human processes with a software patent. This is something a child knows. Why doesn’t the U.S. Patent Office know? Are they stupid, too?

Patents are further stupid because the process allows for judges who do not understand technology to pass judgment on some thing stupid.

Word Prostitute® has the description and is working on the design of the scroll book and awaits the money to create. Regardless, paper publishing is an antiquated technology.

After 100 years, Word Prostitute® believes paper publishing will be left to those who have the mill and the press and the ink and the glue and the string to create a few paper books that will decay or burn.
